The City Grammar School is not only imparting education but also preparing our students to act like good Muslims and good human beings.

• The City Grammar School has a very well organized examination system. CGS has always shown good results in internal and external exam. Since its first badge for B.I.S.E FSD EXAMS IN 1988 till now C.G.S students have achieved great success. Most of the time our result remain 100% for our four senior school branches in B.I.S.E exams.
• CGS students have great potential they are taking part in curricular activities at both internal and external levels. Qirrat, Naat, English/Urdu Rhymes, Handwriting, Speech and Essay Writing Competitions are conducted every year in all campuses. These competitions include confidence participation and hard working for success in students. Our students are taking part in competitions organised by private school association and getting positions. They also took part in 2013 competition of poster making ANS essay writing organised by Punjab Government.

The New Civil Lines Branch was established in 1994 as both girls and boys wing. At present a large number of girls and boys students are studding at K.G Primary and high Level. The hard work done by staff and administrator is greatly appreciated by parents. This can be easily accessed by the second generation entrance in CGS. Our patterns the parents who had brought their children to us are now bringing their grand children. We are thankful to Allah almighty for all this. Our K.G section (Pre-Nursery to One) is famous for affectionate teachers who are not only coaching students but also guiding parents to sort out problems regarding studies and attitude. We don’t have a playgroup but method of teaching is such that students love to come to school. The grip on pencil, stress on handwriting and out specific English hand writing pattern is much appreciated. Primary Section (class 2 to 5) along with the age and mental growth of students working style changed here. Teachers effectively guide students about the new concept and try to make them self reliable. In this age anxiety and questioning is accessed and teachers need to be very patient and positive to tackle the quarries of young minds. Senior Section (classes6 to 10) is working separately for boys and girls as school is matric stream. We prepare students for exams under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. But our teaching style is in accordance with international norms of education. Direct method and concept base education is our great significance. Fully equipped Science and Computer labs help students to perform practical individually. Students perform practical throughout the year to get better command on them. Computer labs are working at all levels independently according to the requirements.
